Internet infrastructure giant Cloudflare has released its highly anticipated annual report. The Cloudflare 2025 ranking once again reveals the power dynamics in the technology world, clarifying Apple’s position among the most popular internet services.
What is the Cloudflare 2025 Ranking Like?
According to Cloudflare’s Internet Services ranking, based on global DNS data, Apple finished the year in third place. The report indicates that Apple surpassed the popular social media platform TikTok earlier in the year to secure this position. While it swapped places with Microsoft for third place around the middle of the year, it managed to finish just behind Microsoft.
However, it is noted that Microsoft’s tools performed better compared to 2024. TikTok, following regulatory issues, finished the year in 10th place. This data shows how dynamic the competition is among the most popular services.
Another noteworthy section of the report concerns the share of mobile operating systems in internet traffic. According to Cloudflare data, iOS devices accounted for 35% of global mobile device traffic. This represents a two-point increase compared to last year, reinforcing Apple’s dominance in the mobile ecosystem.
The remaining 65% belongs to Android devices. The report highlights that in some countries, such as Monaco, iOS usage reached 70%, but in 27 countries, including Papua New Guinea, Sudan, and Bangladesh, Android’s market share exceeded 90%.
