Why doesn’t Samsung release the One UI 7 update? Here’s why!

Ana sayfa / Smartphones

One of the most active brands in updates, Samsung has been working on Android 15-based One UI 7 for quite some time. Although it was initially reported that beta tests for the new version would begin in August, some development issues caused delays, with reports stating the update was postponed to September. Now, in mid-October, there is neither a beta nor a stable version available. So, why hasn’t Samsung released the update? Here’s the reason!

According to SamMobile, a source close to the company, the reason Samsung hasn’t released the Android 15-based One UI 7 update yet is due to indecision over several aspects, especially design.

Reports reveal that while the South Korean manufacturer has made significant changes to app icons and the system interface, it has not yet made a final decision and is still discussing potential modifications. This largely answers why the update has been delayed.

Although there hasn’t been an official statement from the company, reliable industry sources claim that the One UI 7 beta program will start by the end of the year. Additionally, the stable version is expected to be released in early 2025, coinciding with the launch of the Galaxy S25 series.
