It was stated that Raimondo emphasized the risks such as the possibility of China’s invasion of Taiwan and its impact on the global chip chain. He also draws attention to the investments in the domestic chip sector with initiatives such as the CHIPS law passed under the Biden administration.
Intel, the largest chipmaker in the US, has received a large amount of funding under the Biden administration and plays a key role in this strategy. Aiming to compete with TSMC and Samsung, Intel has been experiencing great difficulties since the last period.
