In an interview, Eric ‘ConcernedApe’ Barone talked about the Stardew Valley update with version code 1.6 and whether this update is the last major revamp of the game. Let’s take a look at the game developer’s statements.
Stardew Valley will continue to receive updates
“I’m a lot like Kurt in the game because every time I say this is the last update, but every time I find myself doing another Stardew Valley update,” ConcernedApe explained in the interview:
“I’ll just say this, who knows? I don’t think I’ll ever officially close the update book, it’s always open.” It’s been eight years since ConcernedApe released Stardew Valley, and in that time it has released many updates.
The developer said he continues to work on the farming simulation because it is his life’s work. All this hard work led to Stardew Valley selling 30 million copies. Given that it’s still selling well, it makes sense that it will continue to get updates.
