As 2025 approaches, Samsung is gearing up for its annual flagship launch excitement. According to recent leaks, Samsung will unveil the Galaxy S25 series at the Unpacked event on January 22. While no official information has been released yet, details about the processor for the Galaxy S25 series might have surfaced. Here are the details:
Galaxy S25 Series May Feature Only the Snapdragon 8 Elite Processor
As the countdown for the launch of Samsung’s Galaxy S25 series continues, more of its features are gradually being revealed. In previous years, Samsung equipped its flagship models with both Snapdragon and Exynos processors, depending on the market.
However, recent rumors suggest that Samsung might have changed its plans for the Galaxy S25 series this year. The Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra are now expected to feature only the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. Earlier reports had indicated that the Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25+ might launch with the Exynos 2500 processor in select markets.
The reason for this shift could be that the Exynos 2500 failed to deliver the expected performance. Snapdragon 8 Elite, introduced in October, is built on a 3nm process and designed to compete with Apple’s A18 Pro chip. For the Galaxy S25 series, it may be unveiled in an enhanced version, as seen in previous years.
Design changes are expected for the Galaxy S25 Ultra, replacing the sharp edges of the S24 Ultra with a slightly more curved design. Display sizes for the series are as follows:
- Galaxy S25: 6.16 inches
- Galaxy S25+: 6.66 inches
- Galaxy S25 Ultra: 6.86 inches
