Microsoft has announced significant improvements to the Windows 11 Android connectivity with its latest update. Thanks to new features in the Phone Link application, interaction between computers and phones is now much smoother and more functional.
How Has Windows 11 Android Connectivity Been Improved?
The update coded 25102.140.0 for the Phone Link application brings brand new capabilities to the control infrastructure between Windows 11 PCs and Android phones. The most notable features of this update are:
- Remote Locking: Users can now remotely lock their Windows 11 computers via their paired Android phones.
- Cross-Clipboard Sharing: One of the most anticipated features, cross-clipboard allows text or images copied on the computer to be instantly pasted onto the phone, and content copied on the phone to be instantly pasted onto the computer.
- Easy File Transfer: Users can now easily send files directly to their PCs via the Phone Link application.
Furthermore, Microsoft has also improved the screen mirroring process from phone to computer. Especially for laptop users, a new feature allows them to monitor their device’s battery and network status directly from the Phone Link interface.
