Microsoft has finally fixed a bug affecting the taskbar in certain versions of Windows 11. The latest update shared by the company addresses the taskbar unresponsiveness bug in some flavors of Windows 11.

Windows 11 N editions, as well as users who have disabled Media Properties in the control panel, have experienced taskbar issues. The bug, seen with the June 2024 package, caused the taskbar to become unresponsive or disappear from the screen entirely.

As part of the July 2024 updates, Microsoft announced that it had addressed this issue. The company said the update will fix issues on devices running Windows 11 N with Media Features disabled.

Budget Moto G85 5G revealed at $220

Motorola announced its new mid-range smartphone called Moto G85 5G. Here are the details.

Microsoft has announced that it is automatically pushing KB5040442 to Windows 11 devices. However, users can also update manually by checking for updates in Settings or downloading an installation package from the Microsoft Update Catalog.

The long-standing taskbar bug had affected many users since late June. The July package seems to fix the responsiveness and display issues.

While the most important bugs have been fixed, Microsoft still has a known enterprise licensing issue. Windows 11 Pro cannot be upgraded to Enterprise with a valid license key. The company confirmed that it is working on a solution but has not yet fixed it.
