Microsoft has released a statement regarding the annoying Windows 11 Task Manager issue some users are experiencing. The company confirmed that it is aware of the issue and is working on a fix.

Users were encountering a strange performance issue when opening Task Manager. In Windows 11, Task Manager would sometimes place an unexpected load on the processor or display incorrect information, making it difficult to monitor system performance.

Microsoft has officially acknowledged this bug. It stated that it is investigating this issue with Task Manager, which particularly affects users of the latest versions (24H2). The statement emphasized that the root cause of the problem has been identified.

The tech giant confirmed that developers are working on a patch. This fix is ​​expected to be rolled out first to Insider users and then to all Windows 11 users on the stable version with the next update. Microsoft has not yet offered an official workaround for Task Manager users.

However, to resolve this issue: You can close the Task Manager by typing “taskkill.exe /im taskmgr.exe /f” without quotes in Command Prompt (CMD).
