What will the Windows 11 23H2 update offer?
Microsoft will introduce some new and useful tools with this update. However, it’s not entirely clear whether all of these features will come with the Windows 11 23H2 version. Predictions suggest that most of these features will be rolled out to users with future releases.
One of these features is Windows Copilot or Assistant Pilot. It provides integrated artificial intelligence support for Windows 11. The Windows 11 Copilot AI application helps streamline commands within Windows. This feature has appeared in developer versions before, and while it may not be very useful at the moment, there is a high likelihood that the Windows 11 Copilot feature will become much more functional in the future.
Another application that will be introduced with the 23H2 update is the Windows Backup application. This backup application will allow Windows 11 users to back up specific folders to OneDrive, providing them with the capability to safeguard their data.
This application comes with the ability to back up user-selected folders rather than specific drives or folders. This feature will also be available for Windows 10.
The Windows File Explorer undergoes a significant change with the 23H2 update. According to this, File Explorer will adopt a user interface similar to the Edge browser. However, some traditional icons, like the refresh icon, have been relocated within the new interface.
In addition to AI support, File Explorer changes, and backup enhancements, the Windows 11 23H2 update will bring some less exciting but still notable changes.
One of these changes is support for archives other than ZIP. With the update, there will be support for formats like RAR, 7Z, GZ, and many other archive programs.
Sound volume adjustment is also getting a more detailed overhaul after many years. With the update, you’ll have the ability to adjust the volume individually for all applications with sound playback capabilities.
