Although 15 years have passed since its first release, Windows 7 still has a huge audience. Being one of Microsoft’s most popular operating systems, it has been the subject of many concept studies. Finally, the Windows 7 2024 Edition concept was created. What would the legendary system look like if it was built according to today’s conditions?
This is how Windows 7 2024 Edition looks like
The old but useful interface of Windows 7 meets the innovative lines of Windows 11. Windows 7, which accomplished great things in terms of functionality for its time, aroused curiosity with extensive visual changes. A designer revealed how a modernized Windows 7 would look like in 2024.
The concept builds on the basic framework of Windows 7, with touches inspired by Windows 10 and 11. In this context, it starts from the startup phase of Windows. Users are asked to connect to WiFi.
This screen, however, is rendered with Vista-era wallpaper and the Start menu. On the landing page, interactive widgets are included next to taskbar icons, bringing today’s standard to Windows 7.
File Explorer has a translucent blue design while retaining the simple folder structure. Settings has been consolidated into a single app, allowing easy access to customizations such as color modes and Start menu preferences.
Although the video above is quite popular, it should be noted that it is a concept study. So unfortunately, there really is no such operating system.
