Windows 95, the iconic operating system of the 90s, has a special place in the memories of many users with its simple yet revolutionary interface. A Reddit user created his own Windows 95 look using Windows 11’s customization tools.
It is possible to create Windows 95 with Windows 11
A Reddit user who wants to satisfy the nostalgic longing for old Windows versions has developed a project that turns Windows 11 into Windows 95. Using tools like Windows Blinds, Retrobar and Winaero Tweaker, the mod maker transformed the Windows 11 interface into the iconic design.
The project presents a Windows 11 with rounded corners, redesigned buttons, removed transparency and even replaced the desktop background with the turquoise wallpaper from Windows 95. The changes are not limited to visual elements. The maker said it has also configured third-party apps like Discord, Steam and Telegram to use retro skins.
Windows 11 offers many more customization options than previous Windows versions. In this context, the mod maker managed to simulate Windows 95 by combining various free software modification tools. Of course, it should not be forgotten that it causes stability and crash problems.
It is not possible to download the project directly. You can create your own interface using tools like Windows Blinds, Retrobar and Winaero Tweaker.
On the other hand, Windows 10 22H2 will remain the last official release of the operating system. Each monthly update, which will be released starting today, will end after 1 year and we will officially say goodbye to the operating system.
