Windows’ iconic feature is coming to Android!

Ana sayfa / Android

Google is working on a new “sticky keys” support for Android. It will work in a similar way to Windows, allowing users to enable sticky keys on physical keyboards.

Sticky keys are an accessibility feature that aims to make it easier to press keys like Shift, Ctrl and Alt without having to hold them down all the time. In Windows, enabling sticky keys means that once the key is pressed, it is temporarily activated and can be used with the next pressed key.

The latest piece of code spotted by Android developers showed that Android 14 QPR Beta 3 is testing a similar feature. Google includes an option to enable sticky keys in the physical keyboard settings menu. While it is part of the Android 14 beta for now, it is believed that this feature will be available with Android 15 next year.

A new detail has emerged about the camera of the Honor Magic 6 Ultimate. According to this, the Magic 6 Ultimate's camera could rival DSLR quality.

Having sticky key support on Android means you’ll be able to use keyboard shortcuts more on both your computer and mobile devices. For those who tap the modifier keys more than once, it will eliminate the need to hold down the keys. It will also make shortcuts much more fluid.

Google is also testing other Android 15 features through its beta program. A newly discovered option called “Bounce Keys” aims to prevent accidental repeated key presses.

As Android’s development progresses and smartphones/tablets get smarter, it looks like it will continue to get features from Windows. Let’s see when sticky key support will be available.
