To celebrate its 50th anniversary, Microsoft has unveiled an extraordinary product that has brought a whiff of nostalgia to the tech world. The company has introduced a specially designed Crocs slipper model themed after the legendary Windows XP operating system. The product stands out with its design inspired by XP’s iconic “Bliss” wallpaper.
Windows XP-themed Crocs slippers unveiled
The Crocs slippers feature the blue sky and green hill patterns that are the standard Windows XP desktop wallpaper. The nostalgic shoes are also adorned with iconic figures from the 2000s, such as Clippy, Internet Explorer, My Documents, the Recycle Bin, and the MSN logo.
This Crocs slipper, specially designed for Microsoft’s 50th anniversary, is not yet available for general sale. Consumers can only access the product through a contest held on the company’s Instagram account. To enter the raffle, users must like the relevant post and comment with the hashtag #MicrosoftCrocSweepstakes. The raffle will run until October 7th.
For those who missed it, these Windows XP-themed Crocs were first released to Microsoft employees in August. The shoes also come with a blue-and-white canvas backpack featuring the Bliss wallpaper. Microsoft hasn’t yet confirmed whether the Crocs will be available for general sale at a later date.
