Brook has officially launched its Wingman FGC VX converter in the United States, giving PlayStation 4 and 5 users something they’ve been craving: reliable support for over 150 third-party controllers. From niche retro pads to modern Bluetooth options like the 8Bitdo Ultimate, this compact device unlocks wide compatibility with ultra-low latency performance.

This isn’t just a basic passthrough. The Wingman FGC VX plugs into a console’s USB-A port or USB-C with an adapter and instantly brings non-official controllers into the PlayStation ecosystem. That includes full support for motion control on compatible devices, adjustable vibration, button remapping, and custom analog stick tuning.

For competitive players, those features aren’t just bonuses; they’re essentials. And Brook isn’t leaving out fighting fans either.

Cyberpunk 2077 sequel release may stretch to 2030 as multiplayer takes priority

Cyberpunk 2077 sequel may be delayed to 2030 as CD Projekt Red shifts focus toward multiplayer for Project Orion.

The converter includes Turbo and Macro modes to make input-heavy gameplay smoother. Turbo allows continuous rapid-fire or jumping, while Macro lets players bind combo sequences to a single input. These features can be toggled off for tournaments using the Brook Converter Center software, keeping things legal in esports environments.

The Wingman FGC VX isn’t locked to PlayStation hardware. It works with PCs too, allowing console controllers or arcade sticks to operate in X-Input mode. That means your PlayStation or third-party controller can double as your go-to for Steam or emulator sessions.

Despite all its features, the Wingman FGC VX keeps a low profile. It measures just 77.0 x 20.3 x 12.4 mm (3.0 x 0.8 x 0.5 in.) and weighs 13.4 g (0.47 oz.). Whether you’re packing it for tournaments or plugging it into a desktop, it won’t take up space or time to set up.
