WIRED Turkey, published under license from Condé Nast and produced by Turkuvaz Media, was officially announced today. WIRED Turkey aims to bring WIRED’s global vision to Turkey, bringing a new perspective to the country’s technology, science, and culture ecosystem.
Since 1993, WIRED has been a pioneering platform connecting people with technology and examining the impact of this relationship on society, science, and the economy. WIRED Turkey expands the brand’s global community to eight markets by participating in successful global editions, including the US, UK, Middle East, Mexico, Japan, Italy, and the Czech Republic.
Yasemin Gebeş, General Manager of Turkuvaz Media Magazine Group, said in a statement: “We are delighted to bring a globally respected brand like WIRED to Turkey. With WIRED Turkey, our goal is to present ideas and products developed in Turkey to the world through evidence-based analysis, critical thinking, and open data perspectives. We will invite our readers to break away from the noise of the day and discuss the ethical, economic, and cultural impacts of innovation,” he said.
WIRED Turkey will be published bimonthly in digital and print formats, featuring inspiring interviews, comprehensive cover stories, and rigorous analysis. The new edition will also bring the power of WIRED’s globally recognized events to the region, bringing groundbreaking content and meetings to Turkey.
Condé Nast Director of Content Operations Christiane Mack commented on the partnership: “We are thrilled to partner with Turkuvaz Medya to bring WIRED to Turkey. This launch further expands WIRED’s global authority and digital reach; we are thrilled to bring this world-class publishing brand to Turkey, a vibrant hub for digitally advanced and innovative startups.”
