Microsoft brings Xbox’s key feature to the Web!

Ana sayfa / News

Microsoft has announced an exciting update for Xbox Cloud Gaming users: a new web interface for the Xbox dashboard. This innovation allows users to join party chats with friends through a web browser, instead of just using the Xbox desktop and mobile apps. Here are the details…

The updated web interface includes features like finding and managing Xbox friends, sending messages, viewing user profiles and achievements, and even accessing notifications. Initially, this interface will be tested with users in the Xbox Insider program and then rolled out to all Xbox Cloud Gaming users.

Inspired by the Xbox console home screen’s user interface, the new interface is expected to make Xbox Cloud Gaming more user-friendly. Particularly, the ability to continue various functions accessible after launching an Xbox cloud game, now through a web-based party chat between gaming sessions, offers great convenience to players.

Most features of the Xbox Cloud Gaming interface will also be available on smart TVs and Meta’s Quest VR. However, the Xbox party chat feature has not yet been released for smart TVs. Microsoft is also launching new game hubs in the Xbox app for PC players.

These hubs allow players to track their game progress, access add-ons, and receive news from developers within the Xbox app. The Xbox April console update is also starting to roll out across all consoles.

This update includes new features like the option to mute the Discord voice panel, notifications for OneDrive game capture storage, and options to restrict game or app downloads on the Xbox console.
