Microsoft has relaunched its Xbox Wireless Headset with a refreshed design and improved features. Launched last year as the official wireless gaming headset for Xbox consoles, the product has been updated based on feedback.
What does the new Xbox headset offer?
The new Xbox Wireless Headset retains the rotating earcup design that makes it easier to adjust the sound and game/chat balance. However, Microsoft has changed the design by switching to an all-black color scheme instead of green sections. This makes it compatible with Xbox Series consoles.
In addition to the design, the microphone has also been improved. The automatic mute feature and improved sound isolation reduce background noise. This also strengthens communication in multiplayer games.
The headset can be paired directly with Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One and Windows via Xbox Wireless. It has also been upgraded to the Bluetooth 5.3 standard, allowing direct connection to mobile devices.
Battery life has also been significantly increased. The updated model offers up to 20 hours of use on a single charge. This is a 5-hour improvement over the 15-hour battery life of the first model.
In addition, the updated Xbox Wireless Headset offers Dolby Atmos support. Players can experience 3D spatial audio in certain games.
