To allay concerns about the future of Xbox, executives Phil Spencer, Sarah Bond and Matt Booty took to the stage to dispel doubts and offer insights into the future of Xbox. They also revealed when the next Xbox event will take place.
What can we expect from Xbox, June 2024?
During the presentation, which lasted a little over twenty minutes, executives touched on a variety of topics, including the rumored removal of first-party exclusives from Xbox. Contrary to rumors, it was revealed that a few games will indeed be available on other platforms, but that these are community-driven and niche titles, not major releases like Starfield.
The highlight of the event was the announcement of a June event where Xbox will unveil exciting updates to existing games and possibly introduce new ones. While specific details about the event were not revealed, we expect to hear more about highly anticipated titles like Perfect Dark, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, Avowed and Fable.
In addition to game content, we’re also looking forward to hardware news. A hardware reveal is planned for the holiday season, promising gamers innovation and new experiences. Excitement for the future of Xbox was further fueled by Sarah Bond’s confirmation that Activision Blizzard games will join Xbox Game Pass and that Diablo IV is scheduled for initial release in March.
