Xbox Series X is powerful than PS5, why can’t it compete?

Ana sayfa / News

Despite being supported by Game Pass and having more robust hardware compared to the PS5, Microsoft’s Xbox Series X seems to fall behind in performance for games that are available on both platforms. Why does the Series X, which appears better on paper, struggle to keep up with the PS5? Here are the details…

Although Sony’s PlayStation 5 fiercely competes with Microsoft’s Xbox Series X, it often shows a clear performance advantage in many games. The reasons for this advantage lie in various factors such as software support, games, developer support, and user experience.

The performance differences between the PlayStation 5 and Series X/S are due to both hardware and software factors. Even though the PS5 has a lower-level GPU compiler, it allows the hardware to be used more efficiently.

Last warning from Microsoft! Xbox is coming to an end

The Xbox 360 digital store is shutting down. Microsoft will stop making purchases from the 15-year-old digital platform.

Additionally, the PS5’s GPU runs at a higher clock speed, enabling it to perform some tasks faster. These two factors are among the main reasons why the PS5 shows better performance in some games compared to the Xbox Series X.

On the other hand, the Xbox ecosystem also has its advantages. For instance, while games like Elden Ring may provide better FPS values on the PS5, the Series X offers a smoother and more consistent gaming experience by better implementing Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) technology. Sony’s implementation of VRR for the PS5 is more limited, giving the Xbox Series X an edge in this regard.
