Microsoft has locked in its Xbox Tokyo Game Show 2025 broadcast, teasing new games, updates, and hardware reveals later this month.

The showcase is scheduled for Thursday, September 25, at 7 p.m. JST (3 a.m. PT / 6 a.m. ET / 11 a.m. UK). Mena Kato, Senior Director for Xbox Asia, promised updates from Xbox’s first-party teams and partners across Japan, Asia, and beyond.

“We know players around the world delight in Japan-inspired content and games developed in Asia,” Kato said. “We can’t wait to connect with players globally to highlight upcoming Xbox titles.”

Star Trek Day delivers new Khan podcast, kids’ show, and Lego collab

Star Trek Day brings a Khan podcast, preschool show, Lego collab, and comics, kicking off big plans ahead of the franchise’s 60th anniversary.

Microsoft has already hinted at a lineup of both first-party and third-party reveals. Likely inclusions are:

These highlights suggest the broadcast could blend fresh announcements with deeper looks at ongoing projects.

Beyond software, Microsoft will showcase the ROG Xbox Ally and ROG Xbox Ally X handhelds, co-developed with ASUS. Both are set for an October 2025 launch, but pricing details remain under wraps. TGS could be the venue where that mystery is finally resolved.

Microsoft’s official TGS artwork shows an urban neon Tokyo streetscape filled with Xbox iconography. Some fans believe this visual identity points toward Forza Horizon 6’s rumored setting. Xbox boss Phil Spencer has already confirmed the next Forza is due in 2026, raising speculation that Tokyo’s racing culture may headline the reveal.

Between Ninja Gaiden’s return, possible Bethesda updates, and the debut of handheld hardware, the September broadcast has the potential to be one of Xbox’s most important showcases before 2026. If the Forza rumors prove true, it may also mark the beginning of Xbox’s next big global push.
