What does Xiaomi 14 Pro Titanium promise?
Xiaomi launched a special titanium-coated version of the 14 Pro at an event in China. The new model, called Xiaomi 14 Pro Titanium Edition, comes with the addition of two-way satellite communication support.
Priced at $995, the Titanium Edition will be $140 more expensive than the standard 16 GB/1 TB 14 Pro. For comparison, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra has a starting price of $900.
Xiaomi stated that it uses 99 percent aviation-grade titanium and high-strength aluminum alloy in the special model. It also features Dragon Crystal Glass patented by Xiaomi on the front and back.
In terms of technical specifications, the Titanium Edition has no difference. There is a 6.73-inch AMOLED panel that supports dynamic 1-120 Hz LTPO refresh rates and offers 2K resolution. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor.
The main focus of the smartphone was the satellite connectivity support. Using China’s Tiantong satellites, the device enables two-way satellite communication. This allows users to connect via satellites in emergencies.
