According to the official announcements, the new products will be announced on October 26th at a special event in China. When we look at the date, we can understand that the event will be held soon after the launch of Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. Let’s check the details about the Xiaomi 14 series and HyperOS…
Xiaomi 14 series and HyperOS will have a lot of new features
Depending on the date, the rumors will likely become true and the upcoming Xiaomi 14 series will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. Earlier reports revealed that the phone with 16GB of RAM and Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 gets a single-core score of 1698 and a multi-core score of 6260 in Geekbench 5. In Geekbench 6, it scored 2244 in a single-core score and a multi-core score of 6820.
Additionally, the company confirmed that the next-generation flagship smartphones will feature a Leica Summilux lens, and they will be the first phones to run HyperOS, which will replace MIUI. At the event, the brand will likely announce two phones, Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro, and they will be available in Black, White, and Green.
About the new operating system, Xiaomi says, “In 2019, we began parallel research and development of Mina OS, a purely self-developed universal system, and verified it in small-scale mass production on some products. At the same time, we also successfully ran it on mobile phones in the laboratory, and some of the technical results have also been integrated into Xiaomi HyperOS.”
Although there are no details about the global launch, we will probably see more teasers and announcements about the Xiaomi 14 series ahead of launch, which is three days away. However, the rumors claim that the upcoming smartphone series will be available globally in the first weeks of 2024.
