New information about Xiaomi’s 15 series smartphones, developed for the Chinese market, has surfaced. The latest leaks on Weibo provide brand-new details about the Xiaomi 15 and 15 Pro models. According to these leaks, the Xiaomi 15 series consists of three different models, with two set to enter the European market while one will remain exclusive to China. Here are the details…
Xiaomi 15 Pro Won’t Be Coming to Europe
In June, a source known as ‘Experience More’ revealed that Xiaomi uses mythological figures as code names for its flagship phones. Accordingly, the Xiaomi 15 Pro is codenamed ‘Haotian’.
The name chosen by Xiaomi references one of the gods from ancient Chinese mythology, reflecting the company’s confidence in the device’s capabilities. The same source revealed that the Xiaomi 15 Pro (short code name O2, model number 24101PNB7C) will be exclusive to the Chinese market, while the Xiaomi 15 and 15 Ultra will be available globally.
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor will be launched alongside the Xiaomi 15 series in October. Although significant design changes are not expected for the 15 and 15 Pro models, both phones will retain their respective small flat and slightly curved screen features. A recent report suggests there might be a minor change in the rear camera design.
Finally, it should be noted that the Xiaomi 15 Ultra, which will be available in the European market, is not expected to be released this year. The device is anticipated to be launched in the first quarter of 2025.
