The Xiaomi 16 series will arrive with a massive battery
Xiaomi’s new flagship series could make battery life one of its key selling points. According to new leaks, the upcoming Xiaomi 16 series is poised to deliver some of the biggest capacity jumps we’ve seen to date thanks to Silicon-Carbon technology.
According to leaker Yogesh Brar, the standard Xiaomi 16 model will feature a massive 7,000mAh battery. This is a significant increase from the 5,240mAh battery in the global Xiaomi 15. The 16 Pro is also expected to have a 6,300mAh battery, slightly higher than the 6,100mAh battery in the 15 Pro.
The top-of-the-line model, the 16 Pro Max, is rumored to feature a massive 7,500mAh battery. This could make it one of the flagship phones with the largest battery ever.
Looking at other features, the new device is said to come with Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. The new series is also expected to launch on September 23rd. There are also significant rumors surrounding the camera. The Xiaomi 16 Ultra is rumored to feature a 1-inch main sensor and a 200MP telephoto lens.
