Xiaomi has released the first major software update for its new flagship, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra. The highly anticipated Xiaomi 17 Ultra update, HyperOS 3.0.7.0, offers performance improvements, visual enhancements, and, most surprisingly, deep integration with the Apple ecosystem.
What Does the Xiaomi 17 Ultra Update Offer?
This new update optimizes compiler instructions and memory recycling, improving system responsiveness and reducing power consumption. Additionally, over 100 system animations have been reworked for smoother UI transitions. Visually, there are redesigned desktop icons, a cleaner status bar, and a striking new lock screen clock.
With this update, Xiaomi is also taking camera capabilities to the next level. There are significant improvements that will particularly appeal to photography enthusiasts.
The most notable camera feature of the update is the new 200MP mode. This mode offers seamless zoom capabilities between 3.2x and 4.3x. However, instant shooting speeds have been increased, and sharpness in portrait mode has also been improved. Specifically for the Leica version, new settings have been added for the iconic zoom ring.
Perhaps the most surprising aspect of the update is the deep connection established with the Apple ecosystem. The Xiaomi 17 Ultra can now sync notifications with iPhones, share files via NFC, and even support app mirroring and hotspot tethering on iPads and Macs. Users can even unlock their Xiaomi phones using Touch ID or Face ID on Apple devices.
