Ana sayfa / Technology

Xiaomi continues to make significant strides in under-display camera technologies. The latest patent obtained in China showcases Xiaomi’s design for a device with under-display cameras both on the front and back. Placing the rear cameras under the display hints at the possibility of transparent screens.

Xiaomi’s patent reveals design for under-display cameras on front and back

The patent, noticed by Chinese sources, reveals Xiaomi’s investment in under-display camera technology. The patent images depict a device similar to the Mi Mix Alpha introduced in 2019, featuring cameras embedded within the chassis on both the front and back.

Looking at the patent, we see an almost 360-degree display from the back to the front. However, there is a vertical strip in a specific area of the spiral screen design. This strip, corresponding to the back of the device, accommodates the camera setup. The patent also emphasizes the positioning of under-display cameras, with one on the front and three on the back of the phone.

Xiaomi 13T appeared in the IMEI database!

According to the news of Xiaomiui, the upcoming Xiaomi 13T 2306EPN60G IMEI has appeared in the database. So what will the device offer?

Xiaomi transitioned to under-display cameras with the release of the Mi Mix 4 in 2021. However, implementing under-display technology for rear cameras seems to open a new chapter in the smartphone industry.

Currently, some Chinese manufacturers have moved their selfie cameras under the display. However, these solutions are not popular due to issues such as image quality, low-light performance, and limitations in continuous shooting.

While this patent obtained by Xiaomi in China is intriguing, it is important to note that it is merely a patent application and the images do not reflect an actual device.
