Xiaomi, one of the biggest brands in the smartphone market, adds brand new models to its product range every year. The company recently introduced the Xiaomi 14 series. Of course, the launch of new phones is not good news for older models.
While Xiaomi is constantly expanding its product range, it is also slowly cutting software support for its older models. Finally, the brand has ended update support for three more models among its best-selling phones.
Update support ended for Xiaomi Mi 10T, Mi 10T Pro and Poco X3!
Xiaomi adds all smartphones for which it has terminated software support to a list called EOL. The brand, which keeps this constantly updated, has added Mi 10T, Mi 10T Pro and Poco X3 models to this list in the past hours. This means that the models will no longer receive updates. Of course, this may change if there is an important security vulnerability.
These three popular models were released in the second half of 2020. They all launched with the MIUI 12 operating system based on Android 10 and are currently working on MIUI 14 based on Android 12. So they received two major updates in three years.
The models withdrawn from update support are listed as follows;
- Xiaomi Mi 10T
- Xiaomi Mi 10T Pro
- Poco X3
