Xiaomi has resolved the NFC bug on its smartphones

Ana sayfa / News

Xiaomi has resolved the NFC issue that arose on some smartphones after the HyperOS 2.3 software update. The company confirmed this issue, which particularly affected the Xiaomi 15 series, and announced that the bug has been fixed with the new update. The issue was causing connection issues with contactless payment apps like Google Pay.

Following the update, many users contacted the company’s support channels, reporting that their NFC-enabled payment systems were not working. Following the complaints, Xiaomi investigated the issue and determined that the issue was software-related. According to the company’s statement, the NFC issue has been resolved with the new software version.

However, since the fixed version of HyperOS 2.3 has not yet reached all devices, Xiaomi has offered a temporary solution. This solution requires users to access the NFC section by going to the “More connection options” tab in the Settings menu, then selecting Google Pay or similar apps as the default payment app instead of SIM Wallet. After this step, simply turn NFC off and then back on.

A significant portion of users continued contactless payments seamlessly with this temporary solution. Xiaomi’s solution allowed the system to revert to its previous state before the update was released. The update is currently being rolled out globally.

Once this process is complete, all affected models will have a permanent software solution. What are your thoughts on this? Share your thoughts with us in the comments section below.
