Xiaomi HyperOS 3.1 Global Distribution Started

Ana sayfa / News

Having bid farewell to the iconic MIUI interface in recent years and starting the “HyperOS” era with a brand-new ecosystem vision, Xiaomi continues to shift into a higher gear. The Chinese tech giant has pressed the button in the global market for the brand-new HyperOS 3.1 version, backed by the power of Android 16. While the distribution of the stable version continues in China, this massive update is finally being offered to international users through the “Global Beta” program.

First Stop: The Most Powerful Flagships

As always, Xiaomi’s strategy for major updates follows the “most powerful first” rule. The company recently released the stable version of HyperOS 3.1 in its home country, China, for top models like the next-generation Xiaomi 17 series and the Redmi K90 family. Now, the entire operational focus has shifted to the international market.

According to the latest technology reports, the HyperOS 3.1 Global Beta program initiated for Mi Pilot test users initially covers only the newest flagship smartphones. High-end devices such as the Xiaomi 17 and Xiaomi 17 Ultra are among the privileged models to be the first to experience this next-generation software worldwide.

What Does HyperOS 3.1 Promise to Users?

Built upon HyperOS 3.0 and coming directly with an Android 16 base, version 3.1 is more than just a cosmetic makeover. Thanks to deep engineering touches made to the system kernel, there is a significant leap in the general operating performance of the devices.

How Can You Join the Mi Pilot Test Program?

If you own a supported flagship Xiaomi device and want to try these revolutionary innovations before anyone else, joining the beta program is quite simple. First, you need to download the Mi Community app and create an account. After selecting your region as “Global,” find the available beta program for your device and click the “Apply” button.

Lucky users whose applications are accepted will be able to download the HyperOS 3.1 update instantly via OTA (Over-The-Air) from the Settings > About Phone section of their devices. The next-generation operating system is expected to gradually reach popular mid-range Redmi and POCO devices in the coming months.

Xiaomi is closing the gap with Android 16 and HyperOS 3.1’s deep integration. Do you think the new “HyperIsland” and offline AI features will be enough to keep users in the Xiaomi ecosystem? Share your thoughts in the comments!
