What’s New in HyperOS 3.1?
While this isn’t a “major version” leap, the Quality of Life (QoL) improvements are significant. The headline feature is Super OTA technology.
- Super OTA: System updates will now be applied much faster in the background. The long installation times that rendered phones unusable are gone; a simple reboot taking only seconds will finalize the process.
- HyperIsland: Xiaomi’s rival to the Dynamic Island becomes more interactive and functional in this version.
- Native AirPods Support: Users can now enjoy quick pop-up pairing and full Spatial Audio support for Apple AirPods on their Xiaomi devices.
- Performance: Numerous under-the-hood optimizations including improved RAM management, lightning-fast app launches, and reduced stuttering in high-end gaming.
