Xiaomi’s upcoming product cycle looks quite packed. According to information from digital blogger Digital Chat Station (DCS), the company is preparing to launch a wide range of products, from flagship smartphones to wearables and IoT devices, before the Spring Festival in China.
Flagship with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and Dimensity Monsters Coming Soon!
According to DCS, the upcoming product lineup includes a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5-powered imaging flagship, two mid-range smartphones powered by MediaTek Dimensity chips, a new smartwatch, two pairs of headphones, a mid-range tablet, and various IoT devices.
Unsurprisingly, the Snapdragon-powered flagship is the Xiaomi 17 Ultra. The phone is expected to be first announced as early as next week, with the full release planned for later this month.
The 17 Ultra’s camera capabilities are pushing the boundaries:
1-inch Leica main camera (likely a locally produced OmniVision OV50X sensor).
- 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens.
- 200-megapixel periscope telephoto lens on the back.
Xiaomi is also expanding its mid-range portfolio with two new devices.
- Redmi Turbo 5: Expected to be the first smartphone to use the Dimensity 8500 chip.
- Redmi Turbo 5 Pro: Will climb higher with the Dimensity 9500e, offering a performance-oriented experience.
Wearable devices are not being neglected either. According to leaked information, the new Xiaomi smartwatch will use the Android operating system with Xiaomi’s HyperOS interface and will have a 930 mAh battery. It will also support eSIM technology via an independent eUICC chip, offering full functionality without needing a smartphone.
