Xiaomi, one of the successful players in the smartphone industry, is a company that is appreciated by some and criticized by others when it comes to software updates. Like in the general smartphone market, the Chinese manufacturer, which has reached the end of its life cycle and cannot support new versions in terms of hardware, shares these devices with users at certain intervals under the name “End of Support” (EOS) list. So, which Xiaomi models have lost update support as of June 2023?

The smartphone market operates in a cycle where new models are introduced every day, and the software support for devices that cannot run newer versions due to their hardware becomes discontinued. In fact, some companies, despite producing quality models in terms of features and design, may not be preferred due to their poor update support.

Xiaomi is a company that is appreciated by some and criticized by others in this regard. It generally provides two years of software support for its smartphones. It also regularly updates the EOS list, which includes devices whose update support has ended, on its official website.

The phones added to Xiaomi’s EOS list will no longer receive MIUI, Android, or security updates. However, the company does not completely shut the door. In case a serious security vulnerability is detected, even if they are no longer supported, they will still receive updates.
