Xiaomi Redmi Turbo 3 will be powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor
According to official announcements made by Redmi President Thomas Wang, Xiaomi’s sub-brand is gearing up to launch a new phone series named Turbo. The first phone to be announced in the new series in April, the Redmi Turbo 3, will be powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset, featuring 1x 3.0 GHz Cortex-X4 core, four Cortex-A720 cores clocked at 2.8 GHz, and three Cortex-A520 cores clocked at 2.0 GHz.
The successor, or the higher model, of the Redmi Note 12 Turbo, which was introduced last year with the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 processor, will be announced as the Redmi Turbo 3. It is expected to be released in mid-April. Additionally, the brand’s General Manager, Wang Teng Thomas, alleviated some of the curiosity by sharing a photo showing the phone’s screen and frame.
The Redmi Turbo series, introduced to reshape the mid-range Android market, aims to position itself between the flagship K series and Note series, offering users the most performance-oriented devices. With the codename “Little Tornado,” the Turbo series is expected to rival other brands with better features as a performance-oriented lineup.
