OLED display replaces LCD display on Xiaomi Redmi smartphones
OLED panels are used a lot in middle and upper segment phones. However, Xiaomi used an LCD display on the Redmi Note 11T Pro. Redmi Note 11T Pro was introduced in the past months. Although the company wants to keep the price affordable and dominate the market, it has officially announced that it will be the last LCD panel.
Xiaomi Group announced today that the Note 11T Pro could be the company’s last phone with an LCD display. Currently, OLED displays are preferred more often in mid and high-end models. Redmi’s Note series has also started using OLED displays. Although many industry sources and some users continue to prefering LCD screens, they consider OLED screens to be superior. As expected, this preference may cause an increase in prices.
Also, on the Note 11T Pro, the company used a specially customized LCD display. This phone made history as the first LCD screen to receive DisplayMate A+ certification. It has even called the best phone LCD screen ever.
Users want the company to launch at least one more model with an LCD screen. They are concerned that prices may increase once they switch to OLED displays.
