The incident occurred at the Tianma racetrack in Shanghai, China. According to reports, the SU7 driver lost control of the car on one of the track’s challenging curves. As a result, the car veered off the track and crashed into the barriers. The force of the collision appears to have caused the vehicle’s battery pack to ignite.

Eyewitnesses stated that the fire spread rapidly and quickly engulfed the entire vehicle. Despite firefighters’ efforts, all that remained of the high-performance SU7 model was a pile of metal. Fortunately, the driver was reportedly unharmed in this frightening incident. This accident has once again brought the issue of battery safety in electric vehicles to the forefront.
