Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun made important statements at an event in China. He announced the ambitious plans of Xiaomi Motors, one of the company’s sub-brands. He also stated that criticisms that Xiaomi is an “assembler” have been debunked.
In the speech made by Lei Jun, it was stated that 100 thousand Xiaomi cars will be delivered this year. He also gave the message that Xiaomi Motors will expand to the international market within three years. He did not share details about the first model, but it is possible to say that Xiaomi SU7 will be the first global vehicle.
Stating that Xiaomi is already a global company, Lei Jun stated that they care about the European market. In this context, there is also the possibility of Xiaomi Motors brand coming to Turkey.
Xiaomi SU7, which recorded more than 70 thousand sales until April 20, actually surprised even its manufacturer with this figure. Seeing the increasing sales figures day by day, Xiaomi has now set its sights on 100 thousand vehicles. Stating that they will cross this threshold before the end of 2024, the company has delivered its car to 29 cities for now.
The price of Xiaomi SU7, which is offered with three different models, reaches from 29 thousand dollars to 41 thousand dollars. It should be noted that it is sold in a total of 59 stores in China.
