Xiaomi has accelerated its work for its first electric car SU7, which it introduced to the global market as part of MWC 2024. Images from the company’s factory in China revealed that new color options of the SU7 are being tested.
Three new colors are being tested for Xiaomi SU7
Xiaomi appears to be experimenting with different color options than the previously unveiled “Gulf Blue” hue. Images taken in Beijing show that the SU7 will also be available in blue-gray, a vibrant orange and deep purple.
The broad palette the company is testing for the first car will appeal to a variety of customers, from those looking for a classic look to those who prefer sporty. Although no official release date has been given, it’s safe to say that advertising for the SU7 is ramping up.
An earlier research document claimed that Xiaomi is preparing for a March launch and April deliveries. Instead of giving a clear date, the company’s president pointed to the second quarter of 2024 for the first SU7 deliveries.
Xiaomi is targeting more than 20 million premium users in China. Production is said to increase gradually, reaching over 10,000 units per month by July.
With a driver-oriented interior, sports seats that offer a low seating position, and a low front fascia with curved front fenders that provide a wide viewing angle, it is possible to say that the SU7 is suitable for sporty use. At the same time as the interior was revealed, Xiaomi shared another video from its winter test sessions in northern China.
