Xiaomi is preparing to launch its first chipset bearing its own name in the mobile processor market. The processor, which will be introduced as “Xring 01”, will be available to users with the company’s flagship model Xiaomi 15s Pro. The company, which has been investing in R&D in this field for a long time, will try to compete with major manufacturers such as Qualcomm with its latest move
Xiaomi Xring 01 can compete with Snapdragon 8 Elite
The Xiaomi Xring 01 processor will first be used in the Xiaomi 15s Pro model. The device has been subjected to some benchmark tests before it was released. These tests revealed the first data about the Xring 01’s processing power and core configuration.
According to the leaked information, the Xring 01 will have a quad-cluster core architecture. The 2 high-performance cores in the chipset operate at 3.9 GHz. These are accompanied by 4 performance cores at 3.4 GHz, 2 efficiency cores at 1.89 GHz, and 2 additional efficiency cores at 1.8 GHz. The graphics processor also includes an ARM-based Mali-G925 unit.
In benchmark tests, Xring 01 achieved 2413 points in single-core performance and 8068 points in multi-core performance. In the same tests, Qualcomm’s high-end Snapdragon 8 Elite processor reaches over 3000 points in single-core and approximately 10,000 points in multi-core. These results show that Xring 01 currently lags behind Snapdragon 8 Elite.
However, it is stated that Xring 01 is still in the prototype phase. This performance difference can be reduced with software and hardware optimizations before the final product is released. So what do you think about this? You can share your opinions with us in the comments section below.
