Xiaomi is planning to hold an event in August to showcase a number of new products. The new products are expected to include the foldable Mix Fold 3, the high-end Pad 6 Max tablet and the flagship Redmi K60 Ultra. Here are all the details on Xiaomi’s August launch in China.
What will Xiaomi announce at the August event?
The event, which is expected to take place in the first week of August, will cover a wide range of products, from smartphones to tablets. However, we can say that the Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 will be the most eye-catching product.
The foldable device, which is expected to have a much more advanced hinge design than the Mix Fold 2, will feature an 8.01-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate on the inside and a 6.52-inch display with a 90Hz refresh rate on the outside.
On the other hand, Xiaomi has accelerated work on the Pad 6 Max, which will target the high-end tablet market. This tablet, which will compete with iPad Pro models, will reportedly feature an 11-inch OLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz. It will also be powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.
The third big announcement will be the Redmi K60 Ultra. Expected to be launched as an affordable flagship, the device will feature a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It is rumoured to be powered by the MediaTek Density 9200+ and 8GB of RAM.
In addition to these new products, Xiaomi is also expected to unveil new smart home devices, wearables and accessories. Although the launch date is currently unclear, Chinese sources are targeting the 10th of August.
