You Can Now Play Diablo in Your Browser: Here Are the Details!

Ana sayfa / News

The first game in the Diablo series, which was originally released in January 1997 and has forever changed the fate of RPG games over the past nearly 30 years, can now be played directly from your web browser. Moreover, the expansion pack Diablo: Hellfire, which was released in November of the same year, is also included.

The original Diablo and the Hellfire expansion can now be played on nearly any computer and almost all web browsers, with excellent performance and smooth controls. This project, brought to life by an open-source project called Diabloweb, was shared with players on the X (formerly Twitter) platform.

In the notes on the project’s GitHub page, developer d07RiV explained that the project uses DevilutionX, another open-source project that allows Diablo to run well on modern operating systems. The code has been adjusted to make the interface as user-friendly as possible, and the game can be played smoothly from start to finish.

Diablo 4 Season 5 Hotfix 4 patch notes

There's a glimmer of hope on the horizon. Blizzard has just deployed Diablo 4 Season 5 Hotfix 4.

The browser-based version of Diablo, which does not require any file downloads, is labeled as ‘shareware’ and only allows you to select the Warrior character out of the Warrior, Rogue, and Sorcerer classes. If you want to select other characters, you’ll need to upload the game’s MPQ image file to the browser.

There are three legal ways to obtain this MPQ file: First, you can own a physical copy of the game. Alternatively, you can purchase and install the game from GOG and then extract the file from the installation directory.

You can play the shareware version of the game by clicking here and also upload your own MPQ file on the same site.
