Instagram is trying to increase users’ engagement with Stories.The new feature, called Instagram Super Like, is already being tested on social media. The Super Like option can be added as a reaction to Stories.
How will Instagram Super Like work?
The Super Like option will be available when viewing Stories submitted by other users. Accordingly, instead of tapping the heart icon to like a story, users will be able to give a “Super Like”. To do this, you will be able to long press or tap and hold the heart icon.
However, Instagram will not allow unlimited Super Likes so as not to annoy users. Users will only be able to post one Super Like every 24 hours. This means that Super Likes will feel more private and overuse will be avoided.
The platform added liking to Stories in 2017 to increase engagement. Now, however, it wants to increase the liking feature for certain Stories. It is unclear how Instagram will work on this. In other words, it is not known whether a notification will be sent to a user who receives a Super Like.
This feature is still in development. So there’s no word yet on if or when a test version will be available.
Instagram is also working on a multi-voice feature for Reels. Instagram, which previously offered limited audio editing possibilities for Reels creators, removes these limits with its latest update and allows you to add 20 different voices at the same time
