Apple managed to capture everyone’s attention with its mixed reality glasses introduced at the WWDC 23 event. The new AR/VR glasses, which take the virtual and augmented reality world to a different dimension with its features, were tested by many journalists. However, the results that emerged continue to raise questions about Apple Vision Pro.

Apple Vision Pro leaves unwanted marks on the face

Joanna Stern from The Wall Street Journal recently had the chance to try Apple’s new Vision Pro model. Initially impressed by the features of the mixed reality glasses, the journalist was taken aback by the marks left on the face by Vision Pro.

Stern states that the mixed reality glasses initially felt comfortable compared to its competitors. The main reason Vision Pro feels comfortable is likely its independent battery. This allows the much lighter mixed reality glasses to have the battery carried on the waist or in the pocket. It’s worth noting that the slim and lightweight battery provides Vision Pro with a usage life of two hours.

Canon takes a giant step in virtual reality! Here’s the 360-degree camera

Canon introduced its camera at the Photo Next 2023 exhibition, capable of capturing 360-degree videos as well as 180-degree 3D content.

While everything seemed to be going well, the real problem appeared when the mixed reality glasses were taken off. The journalist noticed various redness on her nose and forehead after removing the AR/VR glasses and shared them with us through a video. This resulting image can be considered a disappointment for a product with a price tag of $3,500.

Apple allowed invited journalists to spend half an hour with Vision Pro during its presentation. The fact that these marks appeared in just half an hour raises another question. It is difficult to predict the effect Vision Pro will have on the face after a two-hour usage.

Apple has made a significant contribution to virtual and augmented reality technology with Vision Pro. However, despite its impressive features, it is clear that Vision Pro has areas that need improvement. What are your thoughts on virtual and augmented reality?
