Xbox Cloud Gaming Will Allow Game Streaming via “Project Lapland”
According to new reports, Microsoft, which currently only allows a few selected games to be streamed by Xbox players, will extend this feature to all games. It is said that this feature will allow you to stream any game you own via Xbox, developed under the name “Project Lapland.”
The streaming feature, familiar from Nvidia GeForce, is being developed by Microsoft with this new project, and it will be available for testing to a limited number of players starting in November. Through this feature, all games will be streamable.
The developments on Xbox’s Android side and the opening of the store are expected to please users, and the streaming feature may attract even more users. Starting in November, players will be able to play Xbox games they’ve purchased on their Android phones and stream them even if they are not in the Xbox Cloud Gaming library.
With this, Microsoft is set to further intensify its competition with Nvidia. While you need to own the games released for GeForce Now, the upcoming feature for Xbox will allow you to stream games regardless of the platform on which they were purchased.
