According to a comprehensive study conducted in America, young people prefer using iPhones over other smartphones. Reportedly, a whopping 85% of American youths own an iPhone and plan to acquire a new model of this phone in the future.
This trend is said to be worrying for Android brands. Such a result in a high purchasing power country like America is expected to have a significantly positive impact on Apple’s stocks in the long term. Here are the most important details about the matter:
Young people opt for iPhones
A similar result was obtained in a survey conducted last year, indicating that iPhones will continue to dominate the industry in the future. However, the U.S. Department of Justice views the issue from a different perspective.
According to the Department of Justice, young people who do not have the financial means to buy an iPhone are practically being excluded by their peers and subjected to social bullying. While it is speculated that this pressure forces younger generations to use this phone, it is even alleged that Apple may be subjected to an investigation because of it.
Furthermore, the research revealed that young people have shown significant interest in the Apple Watch product, with as much as 34% of them owning the device, and 13% considering buying an Apple Watch in the future.
