One of the most used social media platforms in the world, one of the most time spent on Instagram is Stories. This feature, which the platform has brought with the Snapchat effect, stands out as an area where users share their instant statuses.
According to today’s news, Instagram is making changes to the Stories feature. As part of this change, users will face a different Stories duration. The new feature was revealed by Alessandro Paluzzi’s post on X.
According to the post, Instagram is working on a feature called “My Week”. As it is known, stories are currently shared for 24 hours. When this period expires, the posts disappear automatically. With the new feature, this period will increase to seven days.
When we look at the details of the feature, users will select their favorite stories and add them to a collection called “My Week”. Here, it will remain active for seven days. It will also be visible to followers at the top of the Instagram home screen along with other stories.
Overall, it looks similar to the Featured feature. For this reason, some users said that this feature is unnecessary. There is currently no restriction on the number of stories in the My Instagram Week feature. On the other hand, it will be possible to set criteria for who can see the collection.
