It turned out that YouTube is working on a feature allowing subscribing to other online streaming platforms such as Netflix, Disney +, and HBO Max. Thanks to Channel Store feature, YouTube can sell subscriptions to other services in its store. Also, it turned out that YouTube has been working on this feature for 18 months.

Channel store feature is expected in fall

YouTube, the leader in the video field, called this feature “channel store”. Google will allow people to subscribe to other online streaming services through this section. This way, it will be possible to subscribe to services such as HBO Max, Netflix, or Disney+ directly on YouTube. These services we are talking about make their content specifically on official YouTube channels.

Thanks to this infrastructure, a YouTube user who likes the content he watches will be able to subscribe directly to YouTube to protect the entire range. In this first phase, it will be open only to the USA and will come out towards the end of the year. The move will inflame YouTube’s competition with rival services such as Amazon, Apple TV, and Roku.

Meanwhile, contract negotiations are continuing. However, the platforms included in the Channel Store have not yet been announced by an official source. It is reported that the feature can be released in the autumn months. However, it is possible to say that subscribing to different platforms through YouTube may attract users’ attention due to Google’s simple and good video infrastructure.

YouTube continues to work on new features. In the past week, the company introduced pinch to zoom. That allows you to zoom in on the content while watching videos and will enable you to navigate through the content. The feature, offered as a test, is available for Premium users.

If you want to have YouTube Premium, the subscription price information is as follows:
