Humming songs is coming to YouTube Music

Ana sayfa / News

YouTube Music has released a long-awaited feature for Android users. Users will now be able to search by singing or humming. Let’s take a look at this feature, which we can call a much more advanced version of Shazam.

To search the YouTube Music app, click the magnifying glass icon in the upper right corner of the screen. Here you will see a new icon next to the microphone. These two side-by-side buttons offer a more convenient solution than YouTube’s main app, which offers both search features on a single screen with a switch.

YouTube Music’s live search page welcomes users with the option to “Play, sing or hum”. This feature was first introduced for Google Search in 2020. Building on the “Now Playing” feature of Pixel devices, this innovation was added to the YouTube app last October. Using artificial intelligence, the audio is matched to the original recording.

The feature takes a very fast time to recognize the song you are humming. The full-screen results page shows information such as cover art, song title, artist, album, year and even download/offline status. There are also shortcuts to play the song or save it to your library. The usual overflow menu is also available for everything.

Google Password Manager gets a family-friendly feature!

Google Password Manager users can now securely share passwords with family members. Here are all the details!

From this screen, you can exit from the top left corner, or search for a new song from the bottom. YouTube Music started testing this feature in March and Google Play Music introduced similar functionality a long time ago. The humming song search was released with version 7.02 of YouTube Music on Android. It is currently not available on iOS.
