Almost everyone now has at least one platform subscription. One of the most popular is undoubtedly YouTube Premium. Unfortunately, the price of the YouTube Premium subscription, used by those who want to watch ad-free videos and take advantage of the YouTube Music service, has gone up again.
YouTube Premium plans now cost $2 more
YouTube has announced an increase to its subscription service in the US. As a result, the price of the YouTube Premium student and individual subscriptions has increased. YouTube Premium for students has increased from $6.99 to $7.99, while individual subscribers will now pay $13.99 instead of $11.99.
The Premium price increases in the US do not seem to have affected the Family package for now. Last October, the company raised the price of the Family package from $17.99 to $22.99. Following these increases in the US, eyes are now turning to EU and the UK.
The Premium service was last increased in October 2022. Taking into account the increasing exchange rate since then, it will not surprise us if YouTube applies a higher rate of increase to the US.
On the other hand, In a move aimed at enhancing clarity and protecting creators from impersonation, YouTube has mandated that fan account operators clearly identify themselves in their channel names or handles.
