YouTube will allow you to remove deepfake videos

Ana sayfa / News

YouTube has recently implemented a new policy to combat the increasing use of artificial intelligence (AI) to create ‘deepfake’ content on its platform. According to YouTube’s announcement, users will now be able to report a video they suspect to be a deepfake. Once reported, the video will be evaluated promptly by YouTube officials, and if it is determined to have been generated using AI, it will be removed from the platform.

AI-generated content, such as deepfakes, allows for the creation of highly realistic and misleading videos, which can lead to privacy breaches and the spread of misinformation. In response to these challenges, YouTube introduced tools in March that allow content creators to disclose their use of AI in videos. Additionally, YouTube is working on a system where the community can report whether AI-generated videos are deceptive.

Under the new policy, individuals who believe a video has been created using AI to resemble them can request its removal. They will be required to provide a natural video of themselves, not created using AI, to verify their identity. YouTube officials will then review these complaints and make decisions on whether to remove the videos swiftly.
