Advanced search and web version are coming to Threads!
Threads gained a large user base right after its release. However, currently, it seems that the platform has lost a significant portion of its user base. Meta is working on addressing this issue by addressing various shortcomings.
The statement related to the topic came from Mark Zuckerberg, the co-founder of Meta. In his announcement, Zuckerberg mentioned that there will be new features coming to Threads in the next few weeks. He stated that both a web version and an advanced search feature will be added to Threads.
“It’s been a good week for Threads. The community here is moving forward on a path I hope will lead to a vibrant and long-term application. There’s a lot of work ahead, but the delivery speed of the team excites us. Search and web are coming in the next few weeks.”
Currently, the only way to access Threads is through the mobile app. Regarding this situation, Adam Mosseri, the head of Instagram, confirmed last week that they are working on the web version of the platform. After Zuckerberg’s statement, this development has become definite.
Additionally, Threads was quite lacking in terms of search functionality. Currently, the only thing users can search for on the platform is other accounts. Apart from that, it’s not possible to search for any specific posts or words. However, it is believed that this deficiency will be addressed with an advanced search feature.
